Feather and down: characteristics
Here are some of the distinctive features, characteristics and strengths of feather and down:
-
thermal power, the ability to retain heat;
-
hygroscopicity, the ability to maintain a balanced humidity rate with respect to the environment, also allowing a partial absorption of external humidity and a waterproof condition;
-
insulation, the ability to isolate with respect to the outside.
-
resilience, the ability to oppose a high degree of resistance to external agents.
-
filling power, in the case of down, after a pressure equal to 80,000 times the weight of a flake, the latter takes back its original shape.
-
lightness, which in the duvet and small feather also becomes softness.

Feather and down are one product 100% natural biodegradable: chemical composition (mainly keratin) and physical structure (functional to waterproofing and thermal insulation) characterize its unique and distinctive properties and allow the achievement of a high level of physiological comfort.
